Gearing up for a Green Christmas - December 2008
Following on from Coalville's Green Christmas event that attracted over 3000 local residents, the Hickling family got into the green swing of things by getting a pot-grown christmas tree and decorating it with energy efficient LED lights and home-made salt dough decorations.
"The Christmas tree isn't much bigger than Isaac at the moment but we'll be able to have it for a number of years and it will be interesting to watch it grow taller every year. We're keeping it out at the front of the house so that it's there to greet our visitors over Christmas. And we're really impressed with the LED lights and are looking forward to saving some money with them!"
