Connexions to promote the cycle to work week event through the display of posters/flyers, and to encourage staff that live locally to cycle to work if they would normally use the car.

Current activities undertaken to reduce carbon footprint:
Recycling of:
- Paper
- Cardboard
- Plastic
- Glass
- Printer cartridges
- Toner cartridges
Reduced energy consumption through:
- Ensuring pcs and other electrical items are switched off at the mains and not left on standby.
- Switching off heaters when not essential
- Switching off lights when rooms not in use
Other methods of reducing contribution to carbon footprint:
- Using waste paper to make rough notepads
- Where possible, car sharing when going to meetings
- Encourage staff to use reusable shopping bags
- Recycling Christmas cards
